The Longrow 100 Proof (2025 Release) is a bold annual limited edition showcasing the heavily peated, double-distilled character of Springbank’s smoky whisky style. First distilled in 1973, Longrow is crafted using malt dried over peat for up to 48 hours, resulting in a robust, earthy and unmistakably Campbeltown-style smoke. For the 2025 edition, the whisky has been matured in a combination of refill ex-bourbon casks and refill Pinot Noir wine casks, bringing together coastal peat, sweet malt and elegant red-fruit accents. Bottled at a powerful 57.1% ABV (100 Proof), non chill-filtered and natural in colour, this release offers depth, structure and intense flavour in true Longrow fashion.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Earthy peat smoke, sea-washed driftwood and maritime salinity lead, supported by vanilla cream, toasted barley and subtle red berry notes from the Pinot Noir casks. Hints of charred oak and orchard fruit add depth.

Palate: Rich, oily and assertive at 57.1%. Flavours of smoked malt, peppered oak, salted caramel and brine are layered with raspberry compote, grilled citrus and sweet malt loaf. The Pinot Noir influence brings brightness and gentle fruitiness to the classic Longrow smoke.

Finish: Long, warming and deeply smoky. Notes of embers, maritime peat, dark berries and cracked pepper linger, finishing with sweet malt and coastal breeze.
