Sales Advisor (Full-Time) – Highland Whisky Shop

Highland Whisky Shop is an independent whisky specialist based in Inverness, Scotland. We take pride in offering an extensive selection of single malt Scotch whiskies, premium Scottish gins, and other fine spirits. Our knowledgeable team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and sharing our passion for whisky with both local regulars and visitors from near and far.

The Role
We are looking for a full-time Sales Advisor to join our team at our specialist whisky shop on Castle Street in Inverness City Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with retail experience and a keen interest in whisky. While whisky knowledge is not essential, it is certainly an advantage. We offer ongoing training and whisky tastings to help our team expand their expertise.

As a small independent business, we work hard to provide outstanding service to our customers. We're looking for a reliable and dedicated individual who is enthusiastic about retail and enjoys engaging with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting customers in selecting whisky, gin, and other spirits
• Operating the till and handling cash transactions
• Managing stock, receiving deliveries, restocking shelves, and organising displays
• Packaging in-store purchases and preparing online orders
• Keeping the shop clean and well-presented, including polishing bottles and display items

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail experience, ideally in a premium or specialist shop where high-quality customer service is a priority
• A genuine interest in whisky and spirits (existing knowledge is a plus, but training will be provided)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A proactive, reliable, and hard-working attitude
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week), including weekdays and weekends
