Tasting Notes:

Nose: Lusciously fruity with notes of caramelised orange, ripe apricot and sultana. Warm Madeira-driven aromas of sweet spice, honeyed sponge cake and glazed nuts rise alongside Ardnamurchan Distillery’s gentle coastal freshness and a faint wisp of smoke.

Palate: Full-bodied and vibrant at cask strength. Waves of rich fruitcake, baked peach, muscovado sugar and dark chocolate unfold, balanced by bright citrus oils and a subtle mineral edge. The influence of the Madeira casks brings depth and warmth, enhancing the distillery’s naturally sweet malt character.

Finish: Long, warming and lightly spiced. Notes of candied citrus, raisins and toasted oak linger, followed by a final echo of maritime breeze and soft, smouldering peat.

About Distillery:

Ardnamurchan Distillery in Glenbeg, Acharacle, Western Highlands started production of spirit in 2014. Their first bottling, 'The Ardnamurchan 2016 AD', is released in 2016 and 2500 bottles were sold out overnight. Scotland’s ‘greenest’ distillery launched their first single malt Scotch whisky, 'AD/09.20:01' in 2020 and had a similar success to their previous bottlings. Since then, all their releases, especially the limited editions of special cask finishes and single cask bottlings, quickly become one of the most sought-after Scotch whiskies.
