Wolfburn Aurora is a rich and beautifully balanced Highland single malt from Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso. Created from unpeated spirit matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks, Aurora brings together the sweetness and fruit of Sherry maturation with Wolfburn's naturally fresh and elegant character. Long fermentation and slow, gentle distillation contribute further depth, while maturation takes place on site in the distillery's warehouses close to Scotland's northern coast. Bottled at 46%, non chill-filtered and with natural colour, Aurora is a wonderfully approachable yet characterful expression of Wolfburn.

Nose: Sherry sweetness leads into freshly cut grass and autumn fruits, accompanied by subtle notes of coffee and dark chocolate.
Palate: Floral and gently spiced, with vanilla and generous fruity sweetness. Fruit and nut flavours develop through the palate, creating a smooth and rounded character.
Finish: Warm, soft and gently lingering, with the Sherry influence remaining through to the end.
About the Distillery:
Wolfburn Distillery is located in Thurso on Scotland's rugged northern coastline. Revived in 2013 close to the site of the original 19th-century Wolfburn Distillery, it combines traditional, hands-on whisky making with a slow and carefully controlled production process.
Long fermentation and gentle distillation help create Wolfburn's naturally fruity spirit, while maturation takes place on site in warehouses near the sea. The distillery uses a variety of carefully selected casks and bottles its whiskies without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, producing characterful Highland single malts shaped by traditional craftsmanship and their far-northern surroundings.
