Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fresh coastal smoke rises alongside aromas of vanilla, baked apples and ripe peaches. Hints of honey, orange zest and gentle floral notes are complemented by toasted oak and a touch of sea spray.

Palate: Rich and beautifully balanced. Sweet malt, creamy vanilla and orchard fruits are layered with dried apricots, citrus peel and subtle Madeira sweetness. The signature "well-tempered peat" develops gradually, bringing earthy smoke, cracked black pepper and maritime salinity without overpowering the fruit.

Finish: Long, elegant and gently smoky. Lingering notes of toasted oak, honeyed malt, soft spice and coastal peat fade slowly, leaving a clean and wonderfully balanced impression.

About the Distillery:

Torabhaig Distillery, established in 2017 on the Isle of Skye, is only the second licensed single malt distillery in the island's history. Built within a restored 19th-century farm steading, the distillery combines traditional methods with a focus on precision, structure and peat character, aiming to create a unique style known as "well-tempered peat." Long fermentation, copper pot distillation and the island's rugged maritime climate contribute to a robust yet elegant spirit.
