KILKERRAN Heavily Peated Batch 14 (2026 Release) Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl 58.3%
The Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 14 (2026 Release) is a bold and powerful expression from Glengyle Distillery, showcasing a more heavily peated side of Campbeltown whisky. Bottled at its natural 58.3% cask strength, this annual limited release is matured in a carefully balanced combination of bourbon and sherry casks, allowing rich vanilla sweetness, orchard fruits and warming spice to complement Kilkerran's signature maritime peat smoke. Non chill-filtered and naturally coloured, Batch 14 delivers remarkable intensity while retaining the balance, complexity and traditional character that have made the Heavily Peated series so highly sought after.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Intense peat smoke rises first, followed by citrus zest, vanilla pod, honeyed malt and a refreshing coastal sea breeze. Toasted marshmallow, warm oak and subtle dried fruit notes add further depth and complexity.
Palate: Full-bodied and powerful at cask strength. Waves of earthy peat, smoked barley, peppered oak and maritime brine intertwine with sweet vanilla cream, lemon curd, malt loaf and delicate sultana sweetness. The balance between smoke, sweetness and spice is beautifully judged.
Finish: Long, smoky and warming. Lingering notes of kiln smoke, salted caramel, citrus oil, maritime salinity and gentle oak spice gradually fade, leaving a deeply satisfying Campbeltown finish.
About the Distillery:
Revived in 2004 after nearly a century of silence, Glengyle Distillery is a cornerstone of Campbeltown's whisky renaissance. Located just a short walk from its sister distillery, Springbank, Glengyle produces Kilkerran Single Malt using traditional methods, including floor-malting, slow fermentation and double distillation. The whisky is known for its lightly peated, oily and subtly coastal house style, while the Heavily Peated series offers a bolder, smoke-driven interpretation of the distillery's character. Matured entirely in Campbeltown's salt-laden air and bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring, Kilkerran has earned an outstanding reputation for authenticity, craftsmanship and exceptional quality.
