Maturation: From Batch 2 of the Virgin Oak Series, The Glenallachie Distillery presents a rare single malt which underwent additional maturation in casks made of Scottish Sessile Oak (Quercus Petrae), sourced from the Atlantic coast. Before being filled, the wood was air dried for 36 months, then toasted and charred to a medium level. Using just a handful of casks, the resulting spirit delivers a truly exceptional drinking experience.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Bursting with honeycomb, vanilla pods and citrus fruits, with butterscotch, orange zest and white chocolate.

Palate: Lashings of heather honey, caramelised pine nuts, cinnamon and toffee, followed by orange peel, lemon zest, banana and ginger.

Finish: Long, warming and gently spiced. Notes of honeyed oak, orange fondant and toasted nuts linger, followed by hints of baking spice, sweet malt and a touch of ginger. A satisfying, flavourful finish that highlights the influence of the Scottish Virgin Oak casks.
