Tasting Notes:

Nose: Waves of honeycomb, orange zest and treacle rise from the glass, followed by rich fig syrup, freshly brewed mocha and poached orchard fruits. Layers of warm cinnamon, creamy butterscotch and toasted oak add impressive depth and complexity.

Palate: Rich, full-bodied and beautifully balanced. Lashings of dark cocoa, heather honey and warming baking spices are complemented by dried red berries and indulgent Black Forest gâteau. As it develops, flavours of maraschino cherries, dark chocolate and sweet anise emerge, delivering remarkable richness without overpowering the distillery's elegant spirit.

Finish: Long, warming and intensely satisfying, with lingering notes of cocoa, ripe dark fruits, sweet spice, toasted oak and a delicate hint of anise.

About the Distillery:

GlenAllachie Distillery is one of Scotland's few independently owned and managed distilleries, led by the legendary Master Distiller Billy Walker, whose career in the Scotch whisky industry spans more than five decades. Located at the foot of Ben Rinnes in the heart of Speyside, the distillery was acquired by Billy Walker and his partners in October 2017, along with an exceptional inventory of well-matured casks. Since then, the focus has shifted firmly towards producing premium single malt whisky rather than high-volume production. Annual output has been significantly reduced to prioritise quality, with longer fermentation times of around 160 hours, careful spirit cuts and extensive investment in traditional dunnage warehouses. Billy Walker's expertise in wood management and cask selection has established GlenAllachie as one of Speyside's most highly regarded modern single malt distilleries.
