Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sweet vanilla fudge and lemon peel wrapped in aromatic peat smoke. Notes of toasted barley, grilled pineapple, smoked almonds and a hint of sea breeze develop in the glass.

Palate: Oily and full-flavoured. Bonfire embers, smoked bacon and charred oak sit alongside toffee, malted biscuit and bright citrus. Hints of green apple, cracked black pepper and espresso grounds add depth and structure.

Finish: Long, warming and smoky, with lingering notes of ash, vanilla, dried citrus peel and gently drying oak, leaving a savoury, earthy peatiness behind.

Benromach Distillery is a small, traditional Speyside distillery located in the town of Forres. Using classic, hands-on production methods — including a manually operated mash tun, slow distillation and a touch of peat in the malt — Benromach creates a subtly smoky, old-style Speyside spirit that stands apart from lighter, modern expressions. The distillery matures its whisky exclusively in first-fill casks, carefully selected to add depth, richness and balance.
