ABERFELDY 18 Year Old Sangiovese Red Wine Cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl 46%
Aberfeldy 18 Year Old Sangiovese Red Wine Cask is a vibrant, wine-finished take on “The Golden Dram”, bringing Italian red fruit elegance to Aberfeldy’s signature honeyed Highland style. Matured in a combination of refill barrels and hogsheads crafted from American oak, the whisky is then finished in Sangiovese red wine casks sourced from Valdarno di Sopra in Italy, adding layers of juicy berries, soft tannins and gentle spice. Bottled at 46%, it’s a characterful, fruity and gently oaked dram that will appeal to fans of red wine cask finishes and rich, approachable single malt.

Finish: Medium-long with lingering red fruits, soft oak spice, cocoa and a warm, honeyed sweetness, tapering into a lightly drying, wine-kissed afterglow.
About the Distillery:
Aberfeldy Distillery was built by John Dewar & Sons in 1896 on the outskirts of the town of Aberfeldy in Perthshire, drawing its water from the nearby Pitilie Burn, famed for its deposits of alluvial gold. Originally created as the heart of Dewar’s blended Scotch, Aberfeldy has since earned a strong reputation as a single malt in its own right. Known as “The Golden Dram”, Aberfeldy is celebrated for its honeyed, fruit-forward character, typically developed through maturation in a variety of cask types that bring notes of orange, honey, vanilla and gentle spice, with a soft, approachable profile that still offers plenty of Highland character.
