TORABHAIG Allt Gleann Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl 46%
Torabhaig Allt Gleann is the second release in the distillery’s Legacy Series, showcasing the emerging house style of Skye’s newest whisky producer. Distilled from meticulously peated barley and shaped by long fermentation and slow distillation, Allt Gleann reveals Torabhaig’s vision of “well-tempered peat” — a smoke character that is bold yet beautifully balanced by fruit, malt sweetness and maritime freshness. Bottled at 46%, unchill-filtered and natural in colour, this release captures the rugged essence of the Isle of Skye while expressing a refined, modern approach to coastal single malt.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: A bright wave of maritime peat smoke intertwined with citrus zest, green apple and warm malt. Hints of vanilla pod, sea spray and herbs add complexity.
Palate: Elegant and smoky, with flavours of lemon oil, sweet malt, grilled fruits and earthy peat. Peppery spice, charred oak and coastal minerality build in intensity, supported by a clean, oily mouthfeel.
Finish: Long, warming and coastal. Lingering embers of peat smoke, salted citrus, soft oak and maritime freshness fade slowly, showcasing Torabhaig’s refined smoky style.
About the Distillery:
Torabhaig Distillery, established in 2017 on the Isle of Skye, is only the second licensed single malt distillery in the island’s history. Built within a restored 19th-century farm steading, the distillery combines traditional methods with a focus on precision, structure and peat character, aiming to create a unique style known as “well-tempered peat.” Long fermentation, copper pot distillation and the island’s rugged maritime climate contribute to a robust yet elegant spirit. Early releases have earned wide acclaim, marking Torabhaig as one of the most exciting and promising new distilleries in Scotland.
