The Arran Port Cask Finish brings together the island’s bright, fruity spirit with the rich sweetness and ruby-hued depth of premium Port wine casks. After an initial maturation of around eight years in traditional oak, the whisky is finished in carefully selected Port casks sourced from an artisan producer in Portugal, adding vibrant notes of red fruits, warm spice and soft chocolate. Bottled at 50%, non chill-filtered and natural in colour, this expression is both indulgent and well balanced — a perfect example of Arran’s flair for wine-cask maturation.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Warming cinnamon and baked apples, complemented by sweet red fruits and soft oak.

Palate: Rich and textured with flavours of vanilla spice, ripe citrus, dried fruits and gentle nuttiness. With a splash of water, notes of mandarin, fudge and honeyed sweetness develop further.

Finish: Long and satisfying with layers of spice, bitter orange, cherries and dark chocolate.
