Tasting Notes:

Nose: Dark raisins, Medjool dates and rich toffee at first, followed by blood orange, cherry compote and cocoa powder. Hints of roasted nuts, damp oak, gentle clove spice and a faint wisp of coastal smoke sit underneath.

Palate: Full and mouth-coating. Layers of sherry-soaked fruitcake, fig jam and blackberry coulis unfold with caramel, treacle and milk chocolate. A thread of sea salt, earthy peat smoke, nutmeg and cracked black pepper adds depth and keeps the sweetness in balance.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, espresso, baking spices and softly glowing ember smoke, fading into a savoury, coastal afterglow.

Ardnamurchan Distillery, located at Glenbeg on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Western Highlands, began production in 2014 and is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s ‘greenest’ distilleries.
