Tasting Notes:

Nose: Lemon peel, green apple and barley sugar at first, followed by vanilla fudge, honeycomb and a hint of sea breeze. Gentle bonfire smoke, damp oak and a touch of coastal mineral note develop in the glass.

Palate: Sweet malt and salted caramel lead the way, joined by orange zest, grilled pineapple and soft orchard fruits. A thread of earthy peat smoke, warm spice (ginger and white pepper) and toasted oak adds depth, with a pleasingly oily mouthfeel.

Finish: Medium-long and coastal, with lingering citrus, vanilla cream, light embers and a subtle saline edge. Soft peat smoke and drying oak spice fade slowly.

Ardnamurchan Distillery, located at Glenbeg on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula in the Western Highlands, began production in 2014 and is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s ‘greenest’ distilleries.
