Tasting Notes:

Nose: Rich heather honey and vanilla custard, with ripe mango, pineapple and orange zest. Hints of dried apricot, toffee, polished oak and gentle baking spice.

Palate: Silky, rounded and mellow. Flavours of honey, soft caramel and juicy tropical fruits mingle with sponge cake, citrus peel and a touch of dried fruit. Delicate oak spice, cinnamon and nutmeg develop, adding structure without overpowering the sweetness.

Finish: Long and graceful, with lingering honeyed malt, vanilla, soft oak, dried fruit and a warm, gently spiced afterglow.

About the Distillery:

Aberfeldy Distillery was built by John Dewar & Sons in 1896 on the outskirts of the town of Aberfeldy in Perthshire, drawing its water from the nearby Pitilie Burn, famed for its deposits of alluvial gold. Originally created as the heart of Dewar’s blended Scotch, Aberfeldy has since earned a strong reputation as a single malt in its own right. Known as “The Golden Dram”, Aberfeldy is celebrated for its honeyed, fruit-forward character, typically developed through maturation in a variety of cask types that bring notes of orange, honey, vanilla and gentle spice, with a soft, approachable profile that still offers plenty of Highland character.
