Aberfeldy 15 Year Old Cadillac Semillon White Wine Cask is a limited edition Highland single malt that puts a bright, fruity twist on “The Golden Dram.” First matured in refill oak casks, it is then finished for six months in French Sémillon Cadillac white wine casks from a sustainably farmed estate in Entre-deux-Mers, just south of Bordeaux. These sweet, aromatic wine casks bring a balance of richness and freshness, layering yellow stone fruits, florals and zesty citrus over Aberfeldy’s signature honeyed character. Bottled at 43% and presented in an elegant gift tube, this is a vibrant, flavourful dram that showcases Aberfeldy’s talent for wine cask finishes.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Ripe white peaches and nectarines with creamy toffee, honey and soft florals. Bright notes of zesty orange peel and yellow fruits add a fresh, lifted character.

Palate: Silky and fruity, combining juicy stone fruits (peach, nectarine, apricot) with sweet malt, caramel and vanilla. The Cadillac Sémillon casks bring gentle sweetness, citrus brightness and a touch of spice – clove, toasted cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg – wrapped around Aberfeldy’s honeyed core.

Finish: Elegant and gently warming, with lingering citrus, soft honey, creamy toffee and a delicate, lingering cinnamon spice.

About the Distillery:

Aberfeldy Distillery was built by John Dewar & Sons in 1896 on the outskirts of the town of Aberfeldy in Perthshire, drawing its water from the nearby Pitilie Burn, famed for its deposits of alluvial gold. Originally created as the heart of Dewar’s blended Scotch, Aberfeldy has since earned a strong reputation as a single malt in its own right. Known as “The Golden Dram”, Aberfeldy is celebrated for its honeyed, fruit-forward character, typically developed through maturation in a variety of cask types that bring notes of orange, honey, vanilla and gentle spice, with a soft, approachable profile that still offers plenty of Highland character.
