Tasting Notes:

Nose: Deep, rich Oloroso character with dark raisins, fig syrup and spiced fruitcake. Notes of roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate, polished oak, burnt orange peel and subtle leather add impressive complexity.

Palate: Powerful and full-bodied at cask strength. Layers of dates, sultanas and black cherries mingle with toffee, nutmeg, cocoa and a hint of espresso. Velvety in texture with a refined balance of sherry sweetness, warming spice and elegant oak structure.

Finish: Long, luxurious and deeply satisfying. Lingering flavours of spiced fruit loaf, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, leather and gentle oak tannins, with a final flourish of dried figs and warm sherry richness.

About the Distillery:

Founded on the historic Ballindalloch Estate in Speyside, Ballindalloch Distillery is a rare example of a true single estate distillery. Built with a focus on tradition, craftsmanship and complete provenance, the distillery grows its own barley on the estate, operates long fermentation times and distils slowly using traditional worm tubs to create a rich, elegant and characterful Speyside spirit. Family-owned and proudly small in scale, Ballindalloch Distillery is dedicated to producing whisky of exceptional quality with full traceability from field to bottle, embodying the heritage and agricultural roots of the estate.
